WHY BOOKZONE CLUB MATTERS
BookZone Club is an initiative of MayTree Educational Consult Limited, with a clear mission: to raise a new generation of readers, thinkers, and leaders who will transform Africa’s future.
In a continent blessed with rich resources yet challenged by poor leadership, weak reading habits, and underdeveloped creative industries, we see an urgent need to start EARLY!
Leadership, critical thinking, and innovation don’t magically appear in adulthood—they are nurtured in childhood.
Through BookZone Club, we engage children aged 5 to 16, helping them fall in love with reading, expand their imagination, and develop the leadership skills Africa desperately needs. We curate books and learning experiences that expose young minds to powerful ideas in leadership, entrepreneurship, history, science, personal development, and creative writing.
We know that many children across Africa go to school, yet never develop a genuine love for reading. Too often, reading is only seen as a way to pass exams, not as a habit for growth and lifelong learning. As a result, many young people miss out on the true power of books: to shape minds, build empathy, unlock creativity, and create opportunities.
At BookZone Club, reading is more than a hobby: it’s a tool for empowerment. It’s how we prepare young Africans to solve tomorrow’s problems with courage and wisdom.
Our work is rooted in the belief that reading changes everything. It improves confidence, strengthens leadership capacity, nurtures creativity, and opens doors to global opportunities.
